Iceland feels the full power of the North Atlantic in the winter storms that arrive from October through to March. BBC director Jo Haley had been researching the wildest Atlantic storm surf locations and sent us on a mission to scout the location and then wait for the biggest storm of the season. A few months later we had a week of ten metre swell, 100 + km/h wind and heavy snow, tough conditions just to leave the house let alone film on some of the islands most exposed coastline.
